The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum and The Spa at Séc-he are key components of the Agua Caliente Cultural Plaza in downtown Palm Springs, a destination dedicated to celebrating the history, culture, and traditions of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The 40,600-square-foot, two-story museum features permanent and changing galleries along with supporting workspaces and offices, while the 45,000-square-foot spa is centered around the Tribe’s sacred Séc-he hot mineral spring and includes private bathhouses, treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, and a salon.

CMI delivered mechanical systems tailored to the distinct requirements of each facility. The museum is served by a local boiler and chiller plant for heating and cooling, along with electric humidification to support the building’s environmental needs. The Spa at Séc-he utilizes packaged rooftop units and a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system with heat recovery, providing efficient and flexible climate control throughout its treatment, wellness, and support spaces.
