The Kaiser Permanente Antelope Valley Specialty Medical Office Building is an approximate 137,000-square-foot, three-story healthcare facility in Lancaster, California, designed to expand access to specialty care throughout the region. The facility includes 94 exam rooms, three major procedure rooms, and a 15-bay infusion center, supporting approximately 20 specialty services including oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services. Completed in 2014, the project achieved LEED Platinum certification.
CMI delivered mechanical systems supporting the building’s specialized healthcare environments, including patient treatment and exam rooms, pharmacy, X-ray imaging, infectious disease areas, chemotherapy and infusion spaces, and associated support areas. The project also incorporated building management system (BMS) integration to provide reliable and efficient control of the facility’s HVAC systems while meeting the varied environmental requirements of its clinical spaces.
